Similarities Between The Way Shi Huangdi & Egyptian Pharoahs Were Buried
Shi Huangdi and the ancient Egyptian pharaohs were buried in very similar ways. One of the main similarities is that they had their possessions buried with them for the afterlife. The ancient Egyptian pharaohs buried riches and all of their possessions, while Shi Huangdi was buried with a whole army of terracotta warriors and horses. He did this because he wanted to have the same fighting power and authority in the afterlife as what he had in ancient China. The Egyptian pharaohs had similar ideas, they were buried with their belongings, slaves and riches to have an afterlife of wealth and power as well.
Both tombs were very well hidden so nobody could find them to break in and steal their riches. They all had traps around them to protect them from robbers also.
They planned their burials for most of their lives. The construction of the terracotta warriors took over forty years to finish and the pharaohs had everything planned and ready for them before they died so whenever it happened, their tomb was ready.
The place of their burials were chosen to bring good fortune and wealth to them and were in a very discreet position.
Their burials were done this way so Shi Huangdi and the Egyptian pharaohs could have a great
afterlife.
